I am an accredited Next Gen M.E.M®
The Next Gen Mental Health Empowerment Mentor (MEM) Training Programme is a CPD-accredited course designed to train adults to work with children and young people in a non-clinical, non-medical capacity.
The programme focuses on:
- Building emotional awareness and resilience.
- Supporting children to recognise, express, and regulate emotions.
- Mentoring around self-belief, self-esteem, and personal empowerment.
- Providing safe one-to-one or small group sessions using trauma-informed, child-centered approaches.
- Equipping mentors with tools such as communication strategies, reflective questioning, visual resources, and empowerment exercises.
The training is rooted in education and wellbeing, not therapy or counseling. Mentors do not diagnose or treat; they provide supportive, guided mentoring to encourage positive mental health, behaviour navigation, and confidence building.
Age Range of Children & Young People
The MEM Programme supports children and young people typically between ages 5–18 (school-aged).
In some cases, mentors may work with young adults up to age 25, particularly those with SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) or vulnerable groups.
All M.E.M’s are Accredited Belief Coding Facilitators.
I have watched my son battle with anxiety and self belief and I thank God this work found me to enable me to help my child and in turn help others. It’s an extremely hard and complex world to navigate and children often need more support than schools can give. That’s where myself and my fellow MEMs can assist.
To discuss me potentially working with your child, or a child in your care please contact me for a no obligation Free 15 min call.
“I just want to acknowledge how well you’ve done, both in your training and in life. You bring not only knowledge, but a heart-led presence that will make a real difference. So proud to have you on our MEM team! “
Kind regards,Gemma Anyon (M.E.M)Founder & Director
“I loved the way Chris naturally encouraged each young person to become more empowered with each new session, by encouraging personal strengths and abilities. Christian, has a great deal of personal skills to offer especially with children who have are mixed neurodiversity especially from her experience with her own son.” Ella Evans (M.E.M) Assessor
“Over the years, our AuDHD daughter has had various counselling sessions to help with her anxiety without much relief. But after six sessions with Christian, she is doing breathing exercises on her own and repeating positive affirmations that they developed together during their sessions. Christian established an environment of trust that allowed our daughter to open up, unlike our daughter’s previous counsellors. The sessions were also personalised to meet our daughter’s needs and interests. I can’t recommend Christian enough to parents of any child who has low self-esteem, anxiety or any child experiencing distress.”
Thanks for everything – Mrs L.L – Parent of 9 year old
“The 6-week mentoring sessions have been extremely beneficial for Sienna as they have allowed her to explore a range of different big feelings in a safe environment where she has felt supported and encouraged to voice her views and thoughts on a range of topics.
Sienna has also begun to learn a range of different coping strategies to help her manage her own emotions in a positive way. Including breath work and reframing of NATs (Negative alternative thoughts).
All of the above has allowed her to begin to recognise the sign of dysregulation she may experience as well as how to manage these as they arise. Chris has an amazing way of making each session full of fun and positivity which is infectious and allows children to discuss topics such as fear in a positive manner. As well as the use of positive affirmations to encourage their self esteem and confidence withing themselves. Further to this she has allowed Sienna to develop her sense of self and how she can view this positively and enrich this through the use of positive thinking.
Chris has been an absolute life saver as she has made what was a negative experience for Sienna into a learning and positive experience which has given her lifelong strategies to face difficult situations in a range of scenarios and come out the other side feeling positive and able to deal with whatever life brings.” Mrs T.U Parent of 12 Year old
“I now have a clearer understanding of where I want to go”
